Going Through the Menopause?

Going through menopause can be extremely hard for women. There are many symptoms associated with the menopause including weight gain, fatigue, depression, hot flushes and up to 40 more!

One of the most unpleasant side-effects can be hair loss. This can stop you from feeling like yourself. Suzie at Nutrition Lifestyle can help eradicate all symptoms and help you feel your very best again.

Hair Loss During Menopause

Hair loss can be very troublesome during menopause, either thinning or actually falling out in greater amounts.  This is mainly down to reducing levels of oestrogen but can also be due to various nutrient deficiencies.

For example, biotin, a member of the B-vitamin family, is essential for keeping hair in great health.  It is water-soluble and often needs to be supplemented.  Additionally, eating phytoestrogenic foods, which naturally balance oestrogen levels, can really improve the situation.

Menopause Symptoms

Symptoms of the menopause generally occur with oestrogen levels drop. This may occur as early as your late 30s - at the start of the peri-menopause.

Nutrient deficiencies can make symptoms worse. A common concern is that low oestrogen levels can put women at more of a risk of heart disease, osteoporosis and dementia later in life. This can all be put to rest by altering your diet and making subtle lifestyle changes.

What They Are Saying

Menopause Treatment

You do not need synthetic hormones to relieve your symptoms. All menopause symptoms can be relieved via diet and lifestyle changes.

Suzie is a women's health specialist and can help you come through the other side of your menopause symptoms. Feel like you again with a nutrition plan tailored to you. Rebalance your homes and alleviate your stress.

Hormone Testing

We can provide hormone testing which lets us see which stage you are at within the menopause and measure your adrenal function. This measures stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. Our hormone tests can be carried out in the comfort of your own home through a saliva test. Suzie will analyse your results to see if you are adrenally exhausted, or if stress is negatively impacting your menopause symptoms.

Our saliva hormone panel test measures your progesterone and oestrogen levels over a period of a month. This is not similar to the GP hormone test which is just taken from one moment in time. By measuring over the course of a month, you see the fluctuation in hormones. This can help to identify particular issues which can be worked on.

Testing may not be required - many women have abolished their menopause symptoms without any tests. Get in touch to chat through your symptoms.
